These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Basal Blogs (the "Service"), operated by BASAL LABS CONCEPTS ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Basal Blogs is a hosted platform for creating, editing, and publishing blog content, and for exposing that content through a per-account API for integration into your own websites and applications.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Your content
You retain all ownership rights to the posts, images, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service, including serving it through your API and, if you schedule a campaign, emailing it to your customer lists on your instruction.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to publish it and to email it to any recipients you add to a customer list. You must not use the Service to publish unlawful, infringing, or abusive content, or to send unsolicited email in violation of applicable law (e.g. CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
4. AI-assisted and generated content
The Service offers optional AI-assisted drafting, image generation, and web-research features. Output from these features is provided "as is" and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or require editing before publication. You are responsible for reviewing and are solely responsible for anything you publish or send, whether AI-assisted or not.
5. Plans, billing, and third-party payment processing
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Your payment is subject to Paddle's own terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to publish or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content;
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or API key restrictions;
- Reverse engineer, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product;
- Interfere with the Service's operation or attempt unauthorized access to other accounts.
7. API access
API keys are scoped to your account and only return your published content. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for revoking any key you believe has been compromised.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
